Here is my entry. Drgaon Stug IV 9038 with modelkasten tracks, lion roar PE, Griffon model armor brackets, Eduard zimmerit and a RB barrel, whew!
A lot of small bits to finishing building, but I'm past the shelf queen phase and ready to wrap it up.

Hello all, just a simple question, even the campaign is already start since February 1st, 2015, am I still allowed to join? If so, my unfinished figures on "Improve Your Figures!" campaign that recently closed at August 1, 2015 will be my choice. Thank you all
Warm regards
Garry
Sorry for the delay in replying Garry....figures are good and you can join anytime, just aim to finish by Dec 31st. Welcome on board!

Hi Everybody
Back again, this time with a Revel 1/35 Leopard 2A4 that I started last year and put it off to do a couple of campaigns on Aeroscale. Mostly finished except for the tracks which I have an aftermarket set that came with the model( I think they are HK Creation Workshop, there was no box). I originally was going to paint it the standard 3 tone scheme but I saw an awesome Leopard scheme on a Polish Tank in the Armor Forum that I had to try.
This is the start of the original paint job.
This is what I plan to try and paint
This is the base coat on
I have painted the white on also and once I re-glue the barrel on I plan to get to the black and reddish brown.

Great choice of colour scheme Ron!!!! I've thought before this pattern would also look natty on a Tiger or Panther ...
And another project of mine that needs some moving, although whether I'll get it finished is another question

Dear All,
Actually, ''unfinished business'' is my favourite campaign.
In the past 6 months I started but unable to complete four campaigns. So, I have just to decide which one of these models to bring here...
@ Ron: I like your Revel 1/35 Leopard 2A4 and the intended camo scheme. Looking forward to see the job completed.
Cheers

Ok, so I'm polishing off a LOT of old kits lately, but this one is about the oldest.
Tamiya T62A with the ancient Eduard etch set 35007 from 1992 (!!)
I think I started before I even started teaching and this will be my 21st year.
It has moved with me 6-7 times and has sat a lot like this
for decades.
Now we've got
Clearly the turret is not dusted and pigmented yet, but we're getting close.
Looking for that sun-faded, scuffed, stained look on the crown of the turret. Not totally happy with it yet, but under some more dust and pigments.. we will see.
When it's done, this kit is going to buy ME a beer!

I'm not sure, but probably closer to '94-95 when I started teaching. Funny to see a single digit Eduard set instructions though.

Hi guys. Let me introduce myself. This will be my third moddeling spell. I started around 1988 building planes most of my time, getting older and finding other ways of fun I stopped and started again in 2001. This time foucussing on AFV's. Somewhere in 2008 I again quitted. Mostly due to a more demanding job and getting ready for being daddy. Lately I recovered intererst in modeling again. Also because it is a nice hobby doing together with the kids.
Well my Lady from the shelf is a Tamiya TigerB, RC version. I got this from my wife as a birthday present and never got further than ginving it its basic camo. I inted to finish it now.
This is what it looked like dusting it off:
Here I applied the filters. I think it doesnt come out well in the foto..
Next up are the washes...
Currently I am working on the chipping...
For now stay tuned and thank in advance for all comments.

Hi Tom,
nice camo, but I think you thinned down the paint a little bit to much and/or held your airbrush to close to the model. That way not all camo stripes come out as good as others, espescially at the sides. You could try to correct that, or maybe you can be challenged to try a winter camo... I thing this model lends itsef splendid for a winter camo.
Now I can see what you try to archieve with your running gear, maybe you can dust them up a little bit with pigments (or go to a local hobby shop and buy a pastel chalk that you grind with a file... much cheaper )
Good luck!!

Hi Everybody
Have the spotted leopard painted, now to get the tracks done. I thought the tracks I did for my Sherman would destroy my eyes but they have nothing on the little connectors for HKC tracks I decided to add to this tank.
Its a bit darker than I planned. The humidity that we have been experiencing here in Nova Scotia played havoc on my air brush even with 2 separators attached to it. I plan to give it an overall wash to give it a slightly used appearance along with some decals that are not on the actual leopard tank. It was fun painting this scheme and got some good practice with the air brush.

Hi Lars,
If you look up closer to the top of the page I have a picture of the actual tank that I used to paint this scheme. As I found on another armor modeling site from a guy that did the same scheme,(much better than mine), he explained it as the underbelly colour of a leopard cat. I thought it was a cool scheme

Ok guys I got i bit further with my scratching... some how that doesnt really do it for me. I like the effect but I notice difficulties on motivating myself. Anyway... scratches on the engine deck, as said it is fase1.
I would like to give some of the mesh screens some rust effect.... witch screens would start rusting first? And would the rust show itself first in the edges of the mesh or more in the center??

The tank is from September 42 so a winter scheme is out. This is a learning experience and experiment and not worth changing. Some areas came out as I wanted others not so much. The weathering has just started with a coat of mud and soil lots more to go. I gave it a gray wash to tone down the cammo. It may need more. This was a kit I can try different techniques with and then put on the shelf. Thanks for the input. I was much happier with the finish of my 234 in the 8 wheel campaign. It may look better in natural light with out the flash.
Are you building the 1/16th King Tiger. Its looking good.
Tom
