I have a new computer-monitor and a new installed "operating system".
The wirings look great and I also had the idea, to use some of them for one of my 3 small modelkits.
Using the reference-chart is a good help. For some of my virtual 3D-models (see my small satellite image) I have to draw it using a few photos.
greetings...

Simply awesome! Hat's off!

Thank you guys for your kind comments.
Soeren, best wishes with your new equipment. For wiring or piping I try to use plastic rods, whenever its possible, it is much easier to work with them than with copper or brass. I will have to check your build again soon
Good to see you here Claude, Ive got not much time for my dio now
Cheers

It's wonderful to watch your magnificent locomotive take shape. Thanks again for going to such trouble to document each stage that you do.

Thank you Simon, no problem at all, I am really enjoying every step of this build and hope that this blog might be handy for other modellers
And here my work in left corner is almost done. Levers and hand wheels will be mounted on later after painting. The only thing to be added here is driving rod for the oil pump. I have assembled both foot pedals to manipulate the ash bunker flaps and ready a metal sheet below the firewall door.
Cheers

Another black paint coat applied on the firewall and the inner tender got black base as well. This is still faraway from finish anyway. Dry-fit checked, everything seems to be all right. Once again, more parts to be added

First things painted, but I could not get any better pictures last night, small wheels are just 2,4mm in diameter, bigger ones 4mm. I used various shades of black for the hand wheels, what is not very noticable at the moment, but will be better visible, once they finished
Waiting for some supplies for my next work, like polishing silicone tips for my micro drill or new nozzle for my airbrush, I have started getting ready references for armatures on the top of the boiler. There is nothing in the kit I could use, everything has to be done myself. Many different valves, steam regulators, sand supply parts etc.
Cheers

On nearly every update I try to compare (depending on the images), the size of the parts.
As I see, you bought your new camera.
(also a Canon Powershot - I also have one)
Thanks for showing the small parts with your fingers
(or other measureable / comparable parts) as a size-reference.
It seems to be counfusing, but it´s a good solution.
I also will try a comparison on my further builds.
My "teeth" are not easy to glue, also other parts are very small... for my possibilities.
But your parts are more fragile than my ones.
greetings...

Thank you Soeren. Finally I got the camera a couple months ago, and it is really good one. Most pictures I take in the night without any additional light, and they are still not too bad. Using my fingers in most cases has more practical reason, that I can very small part move and rotate before the camera lens to get the best position for taking a picture.
Last night I almost finished a sand valve. That still need to be polished (hope my supplies are here today), then I will make a mould to get more bits. 4 of them will be glued together to get whole thing and make final mould for the sand valves.
Cheers

Nearly there, parts are ready to make a mould for multiple items, which I will complete, when I get all the pieces needed. I have also decided to finish main scratch building first, so I will do most of needed parts I know about. Then I will stick in painting job.

Thank you for your kind words, sir
The hub is finished, and very last part for the top is a safety valve, kinda complicated thing anyway, which I hope to finish tonight.

Great progress Libor. Eventhough I dont have the particular train (and have no intentions of buying it either), I really have to admire the level of detail you are adding. Great work ... very inspiring.

Wow, another masterpiece of the small and complex parts!
Great!
I hope, we can see most of them later, when they are added to their places.
I´m sure, most of them are painted in a different color... red or so.
greetings...

Libor I have been finding this thread while being in pause from work and spent an idle hour looking at everything, only to find out that it will be almost impossible to create a diorama worth such a great modelling job, i am truly amazed at your skills

Thank you for your nice comments, guys. All these will be mounted on the top of the boiler, Soeren, so the best visible spot. But their color, mostly boring grey
Good to see you here JBA, that is very kind of you. I hope my dio wont bring it down too much, but the Baluards cars could have Maybe I should build up a few my own cars More is coming soon.

Moulds made yesterday
Castings came along without problem, time for assembly
Some references needed for my next work, to get the rest of missing parts, more valves and some equipment for brake line, grease pump for drive wheels and few others
Cheers

Masters for final moulds are built up, once again surfacer, polish, making moulds, getting castings - and that should be done, I would guess by Friday. Next week I will get masters for the other parts (brake lines, grease stuff and so on), and hopefuly first castings by next Friday.
