Hi Soeren, you got the point, of course Bremszylinder that should be. This reader is not very visible in my pictures, so I just tried to read very unclear writting, without thinking about Fortunately the writting on the decals cannot be read even with help of magnifying glass, so I will leave it. But next time I will have to focus more on these details to avoid mistakes. Thank you buddy
cheers

I worked on some other project and more moulds have been made. Back to building, some small inaccuracies appeared around the windows, MR.dissolved putty used to fix them, and I will spray black over, when dried and sanded. Then I will add rest of the parts in the cab

But next time I will have to focus more on these details to avoid mistakes.

No problem! The overall-look is great, so some small errors should not be a problem.

Some asian companies have more errors in names and decals.
Today it should not be a problem, to ask german-speaking people for their opinions. (or other languages for american, english or french vehicles)

Some problems are the letters itself! "copy and paste" could solve some problems, I think.
But on your machine, this is no problem.

Ohh, I should continue on my own project.

greetings...

Thank you Soeren,
I know that errors happen, but this one could have been avoided, I just did not pay enough attention. I am not very good in German languague, but still I can read and write most of these technical things, and this was Its always good, if somebody can see similar mistakes, before its too late

I have started painting in red, and I will try to use various shadows here and there. Also windows are fixed and I am getting on with the readers. Home made decals seem to be great, speedmeter is done, and for its glass I have used thick clear varnish. The rest is my next step. Seats are painted in darker jellow and I worked with almost dry brush to get some leather texture, which I want to bring out later using the oils.

Wow, the small scales looks great!
I miss your size-comparison with your finger.

Thank you Soeren,
they went all right and look good enough even in these zoomed in pictures. Real size is between 4-5mm in diameter

Too busy in my work, there is not much time left for my building. Continued on interior, 30 - 40 more pieces to be added before weathering.

Red color painted over black base on hand wheels, to make it easy I made simple masking tool, which worked just perfectly.

Great effect of the small scales and the hand-wheels and other details!
Ahh, the masking-tool is for making the chipped-paint-effect on the wheels.
Looks good!

Thank you Soeren for your kind words. The tool was used to get centre of the wheels painted in red, meanwhile their outer rings remained in black. I will do my wheels a bit worn off than they are in pictures of the original, so I did not polish them before painting. However the picture above is highly zoomed in, and painting looks much smoother (wheels are a bit over 4mm in diameter)

Continued on right side, brake regulators and some pipes glued on, more will be added next time. To get everything right, I will use another handy drawing from earlier mentioned book.

Great progress on your build!
Yes, it´s very useful to have good "reference-papers" and self-made photos.
Your parts look great... and I´m enviously (translated word), seeing these fine parts!

The wooden floor looks great!

As you know, I also try to scratchbuild some parts using a few bad photos... and some drawings, which were made from them.
Seeing my ones, I´m very sad about my very limited abilities.
But, the base-"kit" is great!

greetings...

Thank you Soeren, my friend. Good pictures and possibly drawings are the best base for any building. Your base is great, I like that much, its very believable. My wooden floor will need some washes and dirt later on, when I will apply some weathering.

Continued on the side wall, the rest of pipes added and all connected together, except one dial, which I will get connected later, when toned varnish is applied overall and the window masking behind it taken off. For now the right side is finished.

I have applied a couple of variable toned varnish coats and basic weathering started, light rust around wash holes or firewall door, a bit of smoke black, more will be added on the floor and walls later, before the roof is glued on.

Some of that look kinda strange in pictures (lighter spots on front wall) but very good in reality - it seems to be much closer on this picture through the window.

All this will go just very lightly, in my case the loco is pretty new, built just 2 years before WWII.

Busy in work and working on some side project as well, not much time left for my loco at the moment. A couple of pictures - masters for my other build. Anyway, some fresh update should be here in a few days, so stay tuned

I knew I saw this thread on Armorama before, and I'm glad I finally found it again!

You're build is equally inspiring and intimidating. I love it, I love the detailing, I love the thought of how it's going to turn out. But now I don't know that I could bring myself to make one of these kits after seeing your awesome WIP

I'm now a member and have subscribed to your thread, and look forward to this long and impressive build. Keep up the outstanding work!

I agree to Juan, some of your images look like real photos.
The wood-structure, the small parts and other details are outstanding!

Also ... thanks for some new images with your fingers.
You know, what I´ve done?
Yes, the best size-comparison and "understanding" are own fingers and the scratch-build-skills. I think so.
With every new part I see this on my own build.

What project is the other one?

greetings...

Thank you guys all for your kind comments. I dont have any progress made yet, but I want to finish the cab in next few days, and I will get some fresh pictures then.
My other project is secret one Soeren, full kit for company launch later on. I cannot name it, but I can show another picture or two.

Cheers
