Pete: very nice looking mustang. Between you and Ian, you've really got me thinking about breaking out a P-40 and giving it a go.

Ian: Nice work as well. Love the micron pen panel line technique.

Jeff T: the Puma looks good with the stowage on.

Jim: the truck looks good. I particularly like the finish for the wood. Nice.

Jeff S: the cobra is looking good. Can't wait to see it loaded up.

Zon, do the P-40!!!! An over-looked and under-rated classic fighter.

I had this Tamiya panzer crew figure underway when I discovered this campaign. I will include him in the diorama.

Ian: Yes, the P-40 is always my favorite. It will have to wait a bit though. Too much on the plate as it is...

Steven: You've captured the white really well. Looks great.

I just want this 1/48th Campaign to get me on my 2 Mitchell builds and my Cat project that I want to paint all BLACK.

Plus, I want to start collecting AURORA aircraft kits to build. Simpler models ... maybe a bit more work, but a heck of lot less parts. Decals might have to be replaced.

ALSO, in addition to the weapons set I wanted to add more machine guns. So, instead of a pod I'll remove the kits puny offerings and install these:

THEN, in place of where I was going to place the pod, a 500 pounder or such ... with a generous missile arrangement under the wings?

That should make it look all business now, huh?

Steven - nice job bringing the details out on that figure!

Jeff - you now have the most deadliest model in the campaign; can't wait to see it all put together.

Zon,and Greg, thanks for the kind words. I've been experimenting with White uniforms, and my current approach is Vallejo Deck Tan, flat clear coat, then a dark Grey oil paste. The paste is burnished off,and I allow for some days of drying time Next is a drybrush of Deck Tan/Flat White. Seems to work, although seing this figure looming so large, all the flaws jump out at me. Since most of us paint for the naked eye,he looks better viewed in actual scale.

Great to see all the progress being made on everyone's models here.
Last night I added the running lights to the cab. As with most other truck kits I have in this scale, there are not wiper blades included. Tonight I made some from scratch:

and put them on:

Next is to finish weathering the gun, mount it on the truck bed, install the side mirrors and tires, and then final dusting up.

You betcha Marc! You bet! The weapons set showed up today and even has a full decal sheet.

Get out the tweezers!

And it's kinda spawned a new interest too. Not only do I have other 1/48th scale aircraft to build but I want to collect and build more AURORA aircraft, especially WWI Bi-Planes.

Sick, huh?

Hello.

I want to show the model of the Soviet superheavy KV-5 tank. The idea of this tank wasn't carried out - the real tank wasn't constructed.

For work I used a material of Evergreen firm and a detail of sets KV-1 of Hobby Boss firm.

I want to show some photos - steps of construction of model:

It is result of two-month work:

A little in more detail here:
http://armorama.com/forums/193782&page=1

I will continue.

Dmitry... That is just too cool,I admire your scratch building skills

Gentlemen,I need some help. It's time to put some decals on the Puma. Here's what I have
The 7101 numbers are outlined in white, same with the red 111,and the 432 is stencil style.I'm not really concerned with correctness, just want the coolist look.Which ones? Jeff T.

Well Jeff, I'll pull something out of the WWII Axis tech book and install rocket booster pods on the end of each blade? Maybe that will quill the concern of the payload. Either that or become a single operator?

Yer call.

And Dmitry ... I am so glad you entered your beautiful work here as it's sure to be a show stopper!

Regarding aircraft,is there still a lot of old Aurora stock out there?

I finally finished my Mitsubishi Fuso gun truck:

I have tried to post a few of these pics in the gallery, but apparently I do not have enough space. I tried to delete some earlier posted pictures to make room, but I cannot find a "delete" button.

Congrats on finishing - love the creativity! I think if you click on the photo you want to delete, there's a tiny checkbox for removing the photo near the bottom. The other problem could be if the pic size is too large, and the 3rd prob happens if you're not logged in.
