Jeff T.: The Sheridan should work for the Light Tanks campaign, which runs through December, unless you already did that one? The Sheridan was in the first Gulf War '91, but I don't think they've gone to A-stan or more recent Iraq efforts.

Also, the Merk might work for the Cold War MBT, but it only allows to 1991, so Merk IV might be too late?? I don't know Merks that well.

HTH> Happy Modeling, -zon

Zon... I'm thinking the The Light Tank Campaign will work.Just waiting for the O.K. Thanks for the help.Jeff T.
Greg... Sorry for the off topic.

Well the Mk. XV Seafire is in the books. All-in-all, this was a fun build. The plane depicted is a Seafire from 801 Squadron, HMS IMPLACABLE, Far East cruise circa 1946. I will get the photos posted up in the gallery. Well, I have really enjoyed building with this crew....very talented modellers in this campaign, as always. I think I am going to shoot over to the Get-R-Done Campaign and piece this Leopard 2A6 back together. No tail hook on that one!!!!!!!!

Regards, Ian

Jeff T------------Thanks for the compliment! In answer to your other question about Get-R-Done.....it apparently just has to be a partially started kit out of your stash, that's all.

Zon------thanks!!!! Once again, a very enjoyable campaign.

Pete---Even though Special Hobby kits are considered "limited run" the models are very accurate and easy to build. I built their P-39 in 1/32 scale and it was a great model. Same for the Seafire.....only issue was the decals, which were very thin and hard to deal with. I was going to use the Aeromaster sheet I had but their decal placement recommendations were all wrong and plus I had photos of the one I depicted using the Aviprint decals in the kit. Thanks for the feedback Pete and I am really looking forward to seeing your finished B-model "Pony".

Jeff T---Can't wait to see the Puma once it is done. Very nice so far. Maybe you can find one in the stash for Get-R-Done and I will see you over there.

RAM ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a study in lazyness......
After I did the left front fender, I was tired of messing with getting it to all match up correctly and decided to just make it damaged (less assembly). The right rear fender damage is where it slid off its stand and landed on that sharp corner!
As for paint, just the boring ol' OD. Hope to prime it here in a couple of days. Have to get the tow cables finished up.
Still deciding on what to do about stowage; whether to try and make my own or go the resin route.

Well its been a couple of months since I did any work on my build (Do335 Pfeil). Started doing some more work on it today (getting a few remaining things on it ready to prime).

Then disaster while poping away from the bench to prepare tea for tha rugrats...

I came back to my glue bottle leaking over the wing, while I blame the cat it was probably just me being useless when I got up.

Savable? Maybe with alot of sanding and rescribing, but I think better set aside as paint mule. So this kit is withdrawn, but not me, will select another kit from the stash and restart. Still have 2 months I figure. Anywho pics are below

Ash..............just my personal opinion but I think that one is definitely fixable. At least since it was CA glue it didn't eat the plastic. I think with some careful sanding, rescribing and priming that one can be back in the fray. Hate to see your -335 get relegated to a paint hog. Anyway, just a thought.

Best wishes, Ian
