For sure. I always try to find a historical photo to get inspired and the general 'scheme' or look I'm wanting. We got time

I just read a nice little article in MMiR 54 with the Tamiya 1/48 Sd Kfz 251/1 and the Gaso.line 7.5cm PaK 40 conversion. I think that may be the way I go. Always wanted to build a halftrack, and now I has me my reason!
Here's the conversion:
http://www.track48.com/shop/product.php?productid=1170&cat=0&page=2
I was looking at that too and it was a really nice looking conversion!
Greg: I can't find the article on Track48 that you were telling me about. Do you have a link for it?

Here's the article, but I now realize you're doing the version with the mantlet cover so I don't know that it'll work the same. I think the cover looks real good though and I honestly can't tell the difference comparing it to the 1/35 versions during the Korea campaign. So sorry about that bit of misleading info.

Sal - there's a lot out there. How about a helicopter? Hind, Longbow, Blackhawk? then add a humvee

Think I'll join this one too. Not sure what to build though. Its either the Tamiya Jagdtiger or Panther. Maybe do a dio with a destroyed Hobbyboss T34-85. Looking forward to this

Sal, the new tool Airfix 1/48 aircraft kits are a joy to build. If you're looking to pick up a build for this campaign I would recommend them.

Welcome Matt and Anders
Anders - the campaign official starts March 1st and I think a new 'official' thread will be up where you post your before and in-progress pictures. Whenever I see a jeep, I think of 'A Bridge Too Far" Maybe like the scene where he's got his unconscious Lt. and the Germans are shooting at him in the woods. Have fun

I have a few 1/48 scale AFV's which I bought some time ago when I thought this scale would really take off.
I'm having trouble starting on my Pick-up truck for the Technicals campaign (too much going on)... but if I feel I can squeeze this in, I'll certainly join with something.

Ok I have made my choice, signed up and have placed my order for an Academy T-33a Shooting Star
http://www.scalehobbyist.com/product.php?sn=/ACD00002185
This plane is a little special to me as we had 1 at my High School Trade school and I took my FAA Airframe Practical Test on this bird
It should be here in time for the kick off, just don't know if I will be ready for kick off

Hi Greg,
I'm in.
I will dig through my 48 armor stash. I have Tamiya and Bandai kits and I'll see which one jumps out at me.

To All 48philes,
If you have not made a final decision on your model for this campaign, just an FYI. Squadron.com has almost all of the Hobbyboss Soviet KV-1 and 2 series kits on sale for $9.99 each! A very good deal for this campaign or for building up the stash for the next 48 Campaign v.3!
Thanks,
Stephen (Minas-Ithil)

Sure you can post the pre-build pic but don't start it until March 1st. We're getting pretty close now
