Thought this news report might interest the participants of this campaign. Plastic SdKfz 10 from Switzerland. In 1/48 of course...

Have to support our local manufacturers...

Cheers!

Hey guys looks like I was able to get a start on this, built the cockpit while I was waiting to take my daughter to school this morning
Photobucket
Not many parts so it should be a quick build, need to prime that up now

@Apistolfreak, nice job on your gauges, mine won't look like that

I agree with Jason, folks are racing off the starting line and I also have to finalize my model. I am stuck between a sherman, a sherman and another sherman! Decisions, decisions....

(Really the Tam. M4, the Tam. Firefly, or the HB M4A1 76(w)) I am currently leaning towards the M4A1, but I may have a decisive moment this weekend! A rare occurrence indeed!

Thanks,

-Stephen (Minas-Ithil)

Ok my T-33 has more decals, markings for 5 different birds, then parts did some work this morning and taped the fuselage halves together and wing on so I could prime the top
Photobucket
I then assembled the bombs and landing gear so I should get more done before the end of the weekend

Well I hope I am doing this right. I made the decision to build my Accurate Minitures B-25 "Dirty Dora". I have bunches of aftermarket and have pictured them here, I will pick and choose what to use out them though because there is duplication and I have no interest in some. My supplier sent me these keeping me in my resin and photoetch fix. As my experience has been the Verlinden stuff is okay at best, all of the control surfaces appear to be undersized. The Aires resin looks beautiful, but since I have never used set of theirs that fit I am not sure how much I will use. I also see not reason to the Scale Aircraft Conversions metal gear as the detail is soft and in 30 years of modeling and three cross country moves I have only broken 2-3 landing gear. The one other reason I need to avoid trying to use all this stuff is that I build really Sssslllooooooooowwww. Too much stuff will bring me to a halt. That said here is my kit and accessories and I am looking forward to seeing all the progress shots everyone is posting!

It is an old Jaguar model and I got it from Greatmodels.com a few years ago for around $25. I've seen them around still on the web. Here's a Bandai T-34 from the Track48 gallery where the guy expanded the width of his for the scene. Mine will be smaller

Cool idea Greg - remember when you a posing the figures that the gunner has to let the target get a safe distance away, or he will be hit with frag from his own projectile - but you probably knew that already.

Love the Air Apache Walt - hope you will build an AFV too :-)

Off to ValleyCon, will try to post the startof my Jumbo soon,

Konrad

Hey Konrad, isn't the Air Apache an AFV (Artillery Flying Vehicle)? :-) I doubt time will permit, but if I do I have time I have a couple of vehicles in mind.

Frosting on. Sanding when dry. I'm going to use magic sculpt on the top and match the stones with scratch work.

Jeff - It's never too late, so join in. If you have questions about any kits you're considering just shout them out here and someone will know the answer.

@Tomislav - great choice and I'm a big fan of the Legend gear though it's a little tough to cut apart.

Zon - Good to be in another campaign with you

Greg: good to be in on this one.

Jeff: welcome aboard. I think you'll find 1/48th very pleasing.

Tomislav: you are really moving on you Stug. Looking good.

I've decided to build a Jadgtiger, although a Dust Walker might find it's way in here as well...

Happy Modelling, -zon
